The wait is mostly over now. Katie and Brent have both been accepted into the October A-100 class! Now it’s two months of preparation, and waiting. But, we are relieved to be finished with the application process, it has been a long ride.
We are in awe that we are both in the same class. At every step of the process, we were told “you’re lucky to have gotten this far, let alone together.” The process is quite rigorous, and for two people to pass through it all, especially the first time, is apparently quite the feat. Every stage brought new questions and worries. But, it’s all worth it now. The new anxiety (mostly having dreams about our destination) is much better than the watchful waiting of the hiring process.
Thanks to all who helped us along the way, especially the friendly staff at State Medical and the patient registrars.
Aren’t you just loving the whole ‘waiting’ thing… I waited 2 years to get here, 2.5 years for the Green Card and now… 42 months and still counting to go to China but I know that in the end – all this waiting will be worth it… you do ‘forget’ the whole waiting thing in the end… congrats to you both…

Hello, I’m excited to locate your blog as my husband and I are also applying to be a tandem couple (me CON, him ECON). I’m waiting on QEP results and he’s taking the FSOT in Oct. If invited, I’m planning to defer my OA to the latest possible date to give him time to catch up. I will be following your blog- congrats on your acceptance into A100!
